Haiku Lesson

Posted on Updated on

To, The Poette

Nowadays to write a haiku
Is like a fashion among poet-likes
And no matter how they yearn, try to

It cannot and it doesn’t come right
Without knowing what a haiku is
In spite of your imagination being on flight.

So, poet-likes, whose rhyme is feared
Though an ignorant audience may clap
And will have your verse pieces cheered

Before you strive your pen, learn what a haiku is:
It is not just a three-lined verse
That rhymes and ends like this.
